Introducing Blogs!

You can now write a blog directly inside your Typely site. Every post is Markdown — the same syntax you already use for your homepage — so there's no new tool to learn and no separate CMS to run.

We're keeping this simple. Every Typely site, including Free, gets one blog with up to 50 posts. Basic and Pro sites get unlimited blogs and unlimited posts. Nothing to buy just to start writing.

Everything you can do on your homepage, you can do in a post

• Plugins work. Drop [dropbox-gallery](/product-shots) in a post and it renders your Dropbox folder inline. [contact-form], [youtube-channel], [countdown], [google-maps] — they all behave the same as on the main page.
• Themes inherit. Posts pick up your site's theme automatically. Change the palette in Styling and every post updates.
• Metrics. Every post carries its own view count so you can see which stories your audience actually reads.

Writing a post

Head to Dashboard → Blogs, create a blog, and start writing. The first # H1 becomes the title and the slug — no filename to invent, no metadata form to fill in. Just write.

Where posts live

Each post gets a permanent URL under your site: yoursubdomain.typly.cc/b/<blog>/<post>. You can share the link, it survives edits (the slug is stable), and you can pin the blog to your site's top navigation with a single toggle in the dashboard.

We know it's rough

Blogs shipped fast. If you find something broken — layout, navigation, missing metadata — tell us and we'll fix it that week. This is one of the areas where we most want your feedback.
